HOW IT ALL STARTED
From Italy to Australia
In 1956 our Nonno Gesue Di Loreto, migrated from Italy and purchased an existing vineyard property just north of Adelaide, South Australia. Orginating from a winemaking background in *****, Itally, Gesue carried with him family techniques established across generations. This knowledge and passion layed the foundations and drove the development of the Di Loreto Vineyard Estate, located at Lewiston.
CONTINUING THE LEGACY
Tony Di Loreto
Today, son Tony oversees the management of the vineyard and wine production, as the Estate winemaker and vigneron. This upholds the family traditions into the future to produce yearly vintages of the Di Loreto premium wines. Tony’s ambition is to maintain the quality flavours established by the family traditions, whilst incorporating modern winemaking techniques.

Tony’s love for the great outdoors and his knowledge of the land, his natural affinity for plants and respect for Mother Nature inform the family’s wine production. At his vineyard Tony enjoys caring for his vines. This land provides tranquility and peace for the family. Talking to the vines and sending them “happy thoughts” are part of the Di Loreto process.
